What is Super Goalie?
Super Goalie is a free browser game that puts you between the posts as the goalkeeper, moving along your line with the arrow keys and diving with the spacebar to keep relentless shots out of the net.
It distils goalkeeping to its core skill — reading the shot and reacting in time. You patrol the goalline, anticipate where each strike is headed, and throw yourself across to make the save. There is no team to manage and no ball to kick; every point of the game lives in your reflexes and your timing on the dive.
What keeps it moving is the escalating difficulty. Early shots give you room to react, but each level fires the ball faster and from tighter angles, so the further you climb the sharper your anticipation has to be. It is a one-more-go reflex test that rewards staying calm as the intensity rises.
Playing Super Goalie
- 1Take your line
You start in the middle of the goal. Use the left and right arrow keys to shuffle along the goalline and get your body in front of where the shot is coming.
- 2Read the shot
Watch the striker and the ball’s flight before you commit. The shot tells you which way to go — moving early into space is how most goals slip past you.
- 3Dive for the save
Press the spacebar to dive, jump and stretch toward the ball. Time it to the strike so your hands meet the ball as it reaches the line, not before.
- 4Stay central by default
Between shots, drift back toward the middle of the goal. A central starting position keeps both corners within reach so you’re never stranded on one side.
- 5Survive the escalation
Each level sends shots faster and at tighter angles. Keep blocking to climb through the levels — one ball past you is all it takes, so concentration matters more the higher you go.

How to win at Super Goalie
Anticipate, don’t chase. Read the shot’s direction before you move. Committing to a side after the ball is already travelling is the surest way to be caught flat-footed.
Don’t dive early. The dive has a window — trigger it a beat too soon and the ball sails over your outstretched arms. Wait until the strike is on its way, then go.
Reset to the middle. After every save, recover toward the centre of the goal. Starting central means the same reaction time covers either corner instead of leaving one wide open.
Cover the near post first. Tight-angle shots aim for the gap nearest you. Shade slightly toward the side the ball is coming from so the near post is sealed before you reach for the far one.
Slow your hands as it speeds up. As later levels accelerate, the instinct is to panic-dive. Trust your read instead — one clean, well-timed dive beats two rushed ones.
