About the game

What is Soccer Tournament?

Soccer Tournament is a free table-football game played by flicking cap-shaped pieces: you drag a piece back to set power and angle, release to strike, and knock the ball past your opponent across several modes and national teams.

It is a return to the base level of soccer, where not even players are required — just pieces. Each cap can kick the ball and shove rival pieces around on contact, so every flick is part shot, part chess move. You pick a country, choose your pitch, and play it out turn by turn like a digital game of subbuteo or billiards.

What gives it staying power is the spread of formats — quick Score and Time challenges, a full knockout Tournament against a run of nations, and local 2-Player matches — plus a global leaderboard to chase once you have mastered the flick. It comes from the studio BestGamesFreeplay.

How to play

Playing Soccer Tournament

  1. 1
    Pick your nation

Choose a country-based team before kickoff, then select your match format and pitch style.

  2. 2
    Select a cap

Move the cursor over one of your cap players to highlight it, then hold down the left mouse button to grab it.

  3. 3
    Aim and load power

Drag the cursor backwards, away from the direction you want to fire. The further you pull, the harder the flick — power builds with distance, exactly like a slingshot.

  4. 4
    Release to flick

Let go of the button to launch the cap. It travels in the opposite direction to your drag, striking the ball or barging rival pieces out of the way.

  5. 5
    Work the ball home

Use contact between caps to clear defenders and nudge the ball goalward. Plan a couple of moves ahead — a stray flick can leave the goal open at the other end.

  6. 6
    Outscore your rival

Score more than your opponent within the mode’s rules to win the tie and advance, then climb the global leaderboard.

Tips & strategy

How to win at Soccer Tournament

  • Pull farther for more power. Drag distance sets the strength of the flick — short drags for delicate taps near goal, long drags to blast through a crowd of defenders.

  • Remember the flick is reversed. The cap fires opposite to your drag, like a catapult. Aim by pulling away from your target, not toward it, until the angle becomes second nature.

  • Use caps to barge, not just shoot. Pieces shove each other on contact, so a hard flick into a defending cap can open a clean lane to goal even when you don’t touch the ball.

  • Keep a piece back. A loose flick can hand the ball to your opponent. Leave one cap near your own goal as cover before you commit everything forward.

  • Line up angles off the walls. On the enclosed pitches the ball and caps rebound off the edges — bank a shot off a side wall to reach the goal when the direct route is blocked.

  • Match your mode to your plan. In Time mode favour quick, aggressive flicks; in Tournament play it tighter and protect your lead between turns.

Good to know — Soccer Tournament strips football back to pure table-game pieces — there are no animated players, just caps you flick like subbuteo or billiards, with power set by how far you drag back before release.
