What is Football Tricks?
Football Tricks is a free trick-shot football game by LogicKing in which you choose a national team and play through a qualification campaign, scoring from awkward angles by timing your strike against a power meter.
GamePix first published it on July 25, 2014, and its feed entry was updated in September 2026. It is a landscape game for desktop and mobile browsers. The studio is named on the game’s own credits screen — open the question-mark button on the title screen and the LogicKing logo appears above the list of people who made it.
The game is built like a small international tournament. After pressing Play you see a “Choose your country” grid: the first page alone holds 20 national teams — Spain, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, England, Belgium, Chile, the USA, the Netherlands, France, Ukraine, Russia, Mexico and Croatia — with an arrow to more. Pick one and you land on a Qualification screen listing five opponents, each with a row of five stages; only the first is unlocked.
Matches are introduced like real fixtures. Our first, as Spain, was billed “First match, first half — Spain vs Ecuador”; a second run drew Slovenia instead, so the qualifying opponents are not always the same. Before the first shot, a tutorial panel titled “Hit the ball!” shows a power meter running from green to red, with a ball counter and a score shown in the corner of the screen.
That is the core of Football Tricks: reading the meter, beating the defender and finding a way past the goalkeeper from a position that rarely looks easy. GamePix’s official description sums it up as becoming the captain and executing daring trick shots to score “breathtaking goals from challenging angles”.
Football Tricks also fills a specific spot in our arcade. Street Freekick 3D and Power Free Kick are about bending a single free kick around a wall; Hit the Crossbar asks you to hit the bar instead of the net. Football Tricks wraps its shots in a national-team campaign, so every goal moves you through a qualification table rather than just adding to a high score.
Playing Football Tricks
- 1Press Play and pick a language
The title screen has Play, a language button (English is the default, shown with a Union Jack), a help button and a sound toggle. The help button opens the credits.
- 2Choose your country
Pick a national team from the “Choose your country” grid. The first page shows 20 teams, and the arrow on the right shows more.
- 3Open a qualifying match
The Qualification screen lists five opponents, each with a row of five stages. Start with the unlocked stage; the others open as you progress. Next Game takes you straight to the following fixture.
- 4Read the match card
Each match opens with a card such as “First match, first half — Spain vs Ecuador”. Matches are split into halves, so one fixture is played as more than one round of shots.
- 5Time the strike
The “Hit the ball!” tutorial shows a power meter that runs from green to red, with a pointing finger at the red end. Strike when the meter is where you want it — too little and the shot dies, too much and it flies. The tutorial animation shows the ball lifting on a curve toward goal.
- 6Beat the defender and the keeper
Your player starts with the ball, and an opponent stands between you and the goal. Get the shot past both, keeping an eye on the ball counter and score in the corner.

Modes & progression
Pick a country and play through qualifying opponents. Each opponent has a row of five stages, unlocked one at a time.
Every fixture is introduced as a first half and played over more than one round, so a slow start can still be turned around.
How to win at Football Tricks
Learn the meter before you chase angles. The power meter decides most shots. Spend your first few attempts finding where on the green-to-red scale a shot reaches the goal cleanly, then start worrying about placement. Once you know that sweet spot, you can repeat it under pressure.
Less power is often more. Red on the meter feels like the strongest choice, but a shot struck too hard is easy to overhit. A strike in the upper-middle of the scale usually carries further than it looks and stays on target.
Play around the defender. There is always someone between you and the goal. Treat him as the first obstacle: a shot that clears him with room to spare is better than one aimed perfectly at the corner that he blocks. Get past him first, then think about the goalkeeper.
Use your ball count. The counter in the corner shows how many balls you have. When it is low, take the shot you are confident in rather than the spectacular one. Running out of balls with goals still needed is the most common way to lose a half.
Do not panic after a bad first half. Because fixtures are split into halves, one poor round does not decide a match. Reset, read the meter again and go again in the second half. The fixture card tells you which half you are in, so you always know how much of the match is left.
Stick with one nation. Your country choice decides which qualifying opponents you face. Sticking with one team for a full campaign lets you learn its run of stages instead of starting over.
Use Next Game to keep momentum. The Next Game button on the Qualification screen jumps straight to the following fixture, so you can play several stages back to back while your timing is sharp.
Good to know — The qualifying opponents in Football Tricks change between runs: our first Spain campaign opened against Ecuador, and a second one opened against Slovenia.
