Goal Quest
A physics puzzle with a football at its heart: pop the right blocks, roll the ball through each level, collect three stars and land it in the goal.

What is Goal Quest?
Goal Quest is a free physics puzzle game in which you click to remove blocks so that a football rolls through each level, collects its three stars and ends up in the goal — clearing one level unlocks the next.
GamePix published it on August 19, 2023 and updated it ten days later. It is built in Construct 3, plays in landscape and works in desktop and mobile browsers. Its rules fit in one small panel on the title screen: “Desktop: explode cubes with left mouse button. Mobile: touch the screen and pop whatever you want.”
The menu also has Play, a Select Ball option for changing the ball, and a music toggle. Press Play and you get a level map laid out on a football pitch: 20 levels in four rows of five, with level 1 open and the rest shown with padlocks.
The first level shows how the whole game thinks. The ball sits on a small block at the top of a black curved ramp, three gold stars are spaced down the slope, and the goal waits at the bottom right. Remove the block and the ball rolls; the question is whether it gathers every star on the way and finishes in the net. Later levels, in GamePix’s words, become mazes with obstacles to clear and hidden stars to collect.
That makes Goal Quest the most patient game in the PlayFutbol arcade. There is no opponent, no timer on screen and no reflex test — just cause and effect. It belongs with Soccer Dash, where you steer the ball itself through obstacles, and Kick, where you bounce a ball down a street without breaking windows, but it is the only one of the three where the answer is worked out before you act.
It is also a good game to hand to younger players or anyone who finds fast arcade games stressful. Each level is a self-contained puzzle with a clear goal, and a failed attempt costs nothing but a restart.
The football theme is more than decoration. Every level ends at a goal frame rather than a generic exit, the level map is drawn as a pitch, and the satisfying moment is the same as in any football game — the ball crossing the line — even though you never kick it. Goal Quest simply gets there through planning instead of a shot.
Playing Goal Quest
- 1Read the panel and press Play
The title screen explains the controls in one line for desktop and one for mobile. Press Play to open the level map.
- 2Pick an unlocked level
The level map shows 20 levels in four rows of five, drawn on a football pitch. Start with level 1; locked levels show a padlock and open as you clear the ones before them.
- 3Study the layout
Before you click, trace the route: where the ball is resting, which blocks hold it up, where the stars are and where the goal sits.
- 4Pop the right block
Click a block with the left mouse button (or tap it on mobile) to explode it. Removing the wrong one first can send the ball the wrong way.
- 5Let physics do the rest
Once the ball is free it rolls and bounces along the level. Watch it collect the stars on its way toward the goal, and be ready to pop the next block if the route needs another opening.
- 6Collect all three stars
Get the ball into the goal with all three stars collected. GamePix’s guide ties the stars to unlocking harder challenges, so a full set matters.

Modes & progression
Twenty levels laid out in four rows of five on a pitch-themed map, unlocked in order.
Every level has three stars to collect on the way to the goal; GamePix links a full set to opening tougher levels.
How to win at Goal Quest
Think before the first click. Most levels have one block that sets everything in motion. Work out which removal sends the ball along the star route before you touch anything. A wrong first click often cannot be undone without restarting.
Follow the stars. Stars are placed along the path the designer intended. If your route misses one, the order of your clicks is probably wrong, not your timing. Treat them as a hint about the route the level wants you to find.
Use timing on longer levels. GamePix highlights timing and precision. On levels with several obstacles, removing a block while the ball is already moving can open the path at exactly the right moment.
Restart without hesitation. There is no penalty for trying again. If a run goes wrong, hit restart rather than waiting to see where the ball ends up. Quick restarts keep the puzzle fresh in your head.
Look for shortcuts. GamePix’s own guide notes that patience can reveal hidden shortcuts. If a level feels long-winded, look for a block whose removal skips part of the route.
Work backwards from the goal. If you cannot see the opening move, start at the goal and trace the route the ball would need to arrive along. The block that blocks that route is usually the one to remove.
Go back for missing stars. If you scored without all three stars, replay the level. Completing levels properly is what keeps the harder ones opening. A full set of stars is also the clearest sign you found the intended solution.
Good to know — Goal Quest’s entire rulebook fits in one panel on the title screen: explode cubes with the left mouse button on desktop, or touch the screen to pop them on mobile. Everything else — routes, stars and shortcuts — you work out by playing.

Click (or tap) blocks to explode them so the ball can roll through the level. Guide it past obstacles, collect the three stars and get it into the goal to clear the level. Clearing a level unlocks the next one on the level map.
The level map shows 20 levels in four rows of five, starting with level 1 unlocked and the rest opening in order. Each one adds its own arrangement of blocks, slopes and stars.
Each level has three stars along the ball’s route. Collecting them is part of completing the level properly, and GamePix’s guide links them to unlocking harder challenges.
On desktop, click with the left mouse button to explode cubes. On mobile, touch the screen to pop whatever you want. A restart button resets the level.
Both. The aim is to score a goal with a football, but you never kick it — you solve each level by removing blocks and letting physics roll the ball into the net.
Yes. Goal Quest supports touch controls and runs in mobile browsers as well as on desktop. On a phone you tap the blocks you want to pop instead of clicking them, and the landscape layout works best with the phone turned sideways. Every level fits on one screen, so there is no scrolling to worry about.
It is one of the calmer games in our arcade: no timer, no opponent and simple controls, so it suits younger players and anyone who prefers thinking to reflexes.
The level is not cleared. Use the restart button in the top corner to reset the blocks and the ball, then try a different order of clicks until the ball rolls into the goal with the stars collected.
Select Ball is an option on the Goal Quest title screen that lets you choose a different ball before you start. It changes the look of the ball you guide through the levels.
We saw no timer on screen. Each level is a self-contained puzzle you can take at your own pace, restarting as often as you like.
GamePix’s listing for Goal Quest does not name a developer, and we found no studio credit in the game. The listing confirms it was built in Construct 3 and published in August 2023.
