About the game

What is MR RACER?

MR RACER is a free 3D car racing game for the browser in which you drive through real traffic — trucks, tankers and cars — to reach the finish line in time, beat career rivals or simply go as far as you can. Cash from every run goes into a garage of supercars that you unlock, upgrade and customise.

GameDistribution’s description calls it “a thrilling and challenging racing game” with “very easy-to-control car movement”, and promises 15 supercars, six game modes and five locations. In our testing the game opened with a short welcome from Maria, “your assistant”, who walks you through the modes and locations and then hands over a welcome bonus of 20,000 MR RACER Cash.

The modes sit on one carousel. Challenge has 100 levels — in Maria’s words, “100 nail-biting levels” that get tougher as you go. Career Race is a map of races split into five tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, Pro, Master and Legend. Endless and Free Ride each come in one-way and two-way versions and require XP level 3. Chase and Time Trial start locked, at 99,000 and 49,000 cash.

The locations shown in the game are City, Green Highway, Mountain Day, Mountain Night and Snow. The first challenge we played — “Reach finish line in time” — ran down a highway lined with wind turbines, under a bridge and past a tanker truck, with a clock counting down in the corner.

Behind the racing sits a small economy. A run pays cash for distance, close overtakes and time at high speed; experience points fill a 10,000-point bar toward the next level; and the garage sells cars from the starting hatchback, the BAE (180.4 km/h), up to cars such as the Metal X, a 233.2 km/h hybrid priced at 1,800,000 cash. Each car is rated for speed, handling and brakes on five-step bars — GameDistribution’s description says cars can be upgraded — and the garage has buttons for paint, wheels, lights and stance.

GameDistribution lists MR RACER under ChennaiGames Studio Private Limited, published it on February 20, 2024 and last updated it on July 19, 2024. In our testing the cash and XP we earned were still there when we came back to the game later in the same browser.

Tips & strategy

How to win at MR RACER

  • Bank the welcome bonus. MR RACER starts you with 20,000 cash. Before spending it, look at what the next goal costs: Time Trial unlocks at 49,000 and Chase at 99,000, so two or three good runs on top of the bonus put Time Trial within reach.

  • Distance pays even when you fail. Our first challenge ended in a crash, but the result screen still paid 102 cash for 1.01 km driven. Every run adds to your balance, so a failed attempt is never wasted.

  • Chase the bonus lines. The result screen pays separately for close overtakes and time spent at high speed. Passing traffic closely and keeping your speed up are worth more than a cautious drive over the same distance.

  • Watch the gearbox. The HUD shows a six-speed gearbox next to your speed. The car shifts on its own: holding the accelerator in the first challenge took us from first gear to third at about 90 km/h. Keep your foot down on clear stretches and save the brake for real danger.

  • Change the camera. C switches the camera view. GameDistribution lists first-person, third-person and top-down views; a view from higher up can show more of the road ahead.

  • Climb to XP level 3 early. Endless and Free Ride both need XP level 3. The fastest way there is to keep playing Challenge and Career races, which pay experience as well as cash.

  • Collect the daily reward. The gift on the home screen is the Daily Reward. Maria’s tip: “How long you drive, that much you get rewarded! Come back everyday & earn more cash!”

Good to know — MR RACER prints each car’s top speed in its garage: the starting BAE tops out at 180.4 km/h, the Big Daddy at 198.0 km/h and the Metal X hybrid at 233.2 km/h.
