What is Cursed Treasure 2?
Cursed Treasure 2 is a free fantasy tower-defense game in which you play the villain: “good heroes” march in to steal the gems in your lair, and you stop them with three kinds of tower — orc Dens, undead Crypts and demon Temples — built on tiles of the matching colour. You win a mission as long as at least one gem is still yours at the end.
The title screen sets the tone — “Hey! Heroes! Leave us gems alone!” — and carries the IriySoft logo and a version number, v1.6.43 on our visit. GameDistribution’s description opens with “Why be good when you can be... bad?” and lists 21 levels, three tower types with skills to unlock, and a Night Mode for replaying stages with limited light.
The three basic towers of Cursed Treasure 2 play very differently, and an introduction card prints their numbers. The Den, where orcs fire arrows, has 5.5 damage, a recharge of 1.5 and a range of 5. The undead Crypt does 5 damage with a range of 5 and a recharge of 3, but stores up to three charges and fires them at the next victims. The demon Temple does only 2 damage and has a range of 4 — and a recharge of 0, burning enemies with a continuous fire ray.
Money is tight from the start in Cursed Treasure 2. The first mission gives you 400 gold and 50 of a possible 500 mana. A Den or a Crypt costs 100 gold and a Temple 120, and each tower makes the next one of its kind dearer: after we built a Den, the next Den cost 120. Gold comes from killing heroes and picking up the coins they drop, and towers gain experience by shooting, which unlocks upgrades.
Every mission starts with five gems. Saving at least one earns a Good rating (one star), saving all five a Great (two stars), and keeping all five untouched — no hero ever picks one up — a Brilliant (three stars). Our first mission ended with 12 of 12 enemies killed, 4 of 5 gems saved, a Good rating and 516 XP toward the next rank on the world map.
In Cursed Treasure 2, rank brings skill points, spent on a skill screen with three branches — Orcs, Undead and Demons — of ten skills each. The first skill in each branch shows the idea: Standard Design makes the next tower of the same kind 2 gold cheaper, Ancestral Wisdom adds 40 mana at the start of a mission, and Contribution adds 20 gold.
GameDistribution has carried Cursed Treasure 2 since November 25, 2019, last updated it on August 10, 2026, and offers it in English, Chinese (Simplified), French, German and Russian. A separate, paid Ultimate Edition is sold on Steam; the game on this page is the free browser version.
Playing Cursed Treasure 2
- 1Start a mission
Press Start on the Cursed Treasure 2 title screen. The first mission opens with short tutorial cards on towers, enemies and gems.
- 2Choose a tower
Click the Den, the Crypt or the Temple on the panel at the right of the Cursed Treasure 2 screen, or press 1, 2 or 3. Its price is shown on the button.
- 3Build on a matching tile
Tiles of the tower’s colour light up on the map. Click one, then click the price bubble that appears above it to build.
- 4Start the battle
Press Battle! The icons along the top of the screen show the heroes still to come, with a count for each kind.
- 5Upgrade and use spells
When a tower’s arrow pulses it has earned enough experience: click the tower, then the upgrade icon. Spells use mana — GameDistribution lists W for Terror and E for Meteor.
- 6Keep your gems
Heroes that reach your lair grab a gem and run. Kill them before they escape; you win if at least one gem is left at the end.

How to win at Cursed Treasure 2
Spread your first towers across types. In Cursed Treasure 2 each tower makes the next one of its kind dearer — our second Den cost 120 gold against 100 for the first. A first Den plus a first Crypt costs less than two Dens.
Mix burst and burn. The Crypt stores up to three charges and releases them together, which is strong against a tight group. The Temple’s fire ray never stops, which is better against a steady stream. The Den sits in between, with the most damage per shot of the three.
Put early skill points into the economy. Contribution (+20 gold at the start of a mission), Ancestral Wisdom (+40 mana) and Standard Design (the next tower of a kind is 2 gold cheaper) all pay off in every mission you play afterward.
Do not let a gem be touched. A gem that a hero drops still counts as saved but no longer as untouched. If you want three stars, kill heroes before they reach the lair, not on the way out.
Hunt the champion. The victory screen counts champions killed separately from ordinary enemies — our first mission had one, and missing it left a +0% on that line of the result.
Speed up only when it is safe. Holding Space runs Cursed Treasure 2 at triple speed. Use it once your towers have a wave under control, and let go when a new kind of hero appears — each new enemy has a card showing its health and speed.
Upgrade when the arrow pulses. Towers in Cursed Treasure 2 earn experience by shooting, and a pulsing arrow means one is ready. An upgraded tower in a good spot is often worth more than a new tower in a poor one.
Good to know — In Cursed Treasure 2 the price of a tower rises with every tower of that kind you own — our first Den cost 100 gold and the second 120 — which is exactly what the Standard Design skill works against.

Build towers along the paths that heroes take toward your lair, so they are killed before they can steal your gems. Choose a tower on the right-hand panel, click a tile of the same colour, confirm the price, and press Battle! You win if at least one of your five gems is left.
Three basic types: the orc Den (5.5 damage, 1.5 recharge, range 5), the undead Crypt (5 damage, 3 recharge, range 5, stores up to three charges) and the demon Temple (2 damage, 0 recharge, range 4, a continuous fire ray). Each is built on tiles of its own colour and can be upgraded.
