What is Kick it 1v1?
Kick it 1v1 is a free local two-player football game where two agile players share one keyboard and race to 10 goals before the clock runs out. It’s a physics-driven duel on a single tight pitch, decided by touch and timing.
The whole game is one head-to-head arena. There’s no formation to set and no team to manage — just you, a rival, a bouncing ball, and a goal at each end. Movement is two keys plus a jump, so the depth comes from reading the ball, not memorising buttons.
Because it’s inspired by classic football physics, the ball never sits still: it ricochets off bodies, walls and the run of play, so a clean win means controlling chaos faster than your opponent can.
Playing Kick it 1v1
- 1Pick your side
Player 1 is Blue, Player 2 is Red. Both share the same keyboard, so sit side by side at a desktop for the cleanest controls.
- 2Move and jump
Blue uses A and D to move and W to jump; Red uses the Left and Right arrows to move and Up to jump. Jumping is how you reach high balls and head them toward goal.
- 3Win the ball
Get your body between the ball and your own net, then shove it forward. The physics mean position matters more than spamming keys — line yourself up before the ball arrives.
- 4Race to 10
There’s no kick button — you score by driving the ball into your opponent’s goal with your body and jumps. First to 10 goals before time runs out takes the match.
- 5Pause when you need to
Press ESC at any point to pause the duel, then resume when both players are ready.

How to win at Kick it 1v1
Win position before you swing. With body-only control, where you stand decides everything. Slide between the ball and your own goal early so a stray bounce can’t be tapped past you.
Time the jump to the ball’s arc. Jumping is your only way to reach high balls. Press up as the ball drops toward you, not before — an early jump leaves you grounded when it counts.
Use the rival as a wall. The ball ricochets off bodies, so nudging it against your opponent at an angle can carom it back toward their net before they recover.
Don’t over-commit forward. It’s a race to 10, so chasing every goal leaves your end open. Hold a step back when the ball is loose in midfield and let it come to you.
Watch the clock, not just the score. You must reach 10 before time runs out. If you’re ahead late, play keep-the-ball-away in your opponent’s half to burn the timer.
Good to know — There’s no shoot button: you score entirely by moving and jumping your player into the ball, so every goal comes from positioning and physics rather than aiming a kick.
