Guess the Club — Daily Football Team Quiz

Today's Club·June 9, 2026

How Guess the Club works

Guess the Club is a daily puzzle: players who played for a mystery club are revealed one by one — name the club. You start with a single player and unlock another with every wrong guess, so the puzzle rewards both quick recognition and patient deduction.

Data footprint

The daily club is drawn from 67 eligible clubs — each with a crest and at least six players in our 773-player database (2,119 club spells tracked). Reveals run from the least-iconic player for that club toward the recognisable ones.

How to name the club faster

  1. 1. Anchor on the strongest association. Even an obscure player usually has one club they are most tied to — start there.
  2. 2. Triangulate as players stack up. One player fits many clubs; two or three shared names collapse the options fast.
  3. 3. Use nationality and era. If the revealed players share a country or a period, the club is probably from that league and that time.
  4. 4. Don't spend guesses on hunches. Each wrong guess costs 100 points but buys a clue — only commit when two players point the same way.
  5. 5. Mind the obscure-first order. The hardest clues come first by design, so a blank early board is normal — wait for the second name.

A worked example

The first revealed player is a squad rotation name you half-recognise — not enough on its own. A wrong guess unlocks a second player, and now both share a spell at the same Italian giant. That overlap is the tell: two careers crossing at one club almost always names it. Solving on the second player banks 500 points, so the patience pays.

Frequently asked questions

What is Guess the Club?

Guess the Club is a daily puzzle: a mystery football club is chosen and the players who played for it are revealed one at a time. Your job is to name the club.

How does the reveal work?

You start with one player on the board. Every wrong guess unlocks one more player who played for the mystery club — so the longer it takes, the more clues you get.

How many guesses do I get?

Six. You name the club via the search box, and the earlier you get it the higher your score — 600 on the first guess down to 100 on the sixth.

Why are obscure players shown first?

The reveal opens with the least-iconic players for that club and eases toward the recognisable ones, so an expert can solve it on a single clue while everyone else still gets there.

How is it different from Guess the Badge?

Guess the Badge shows a blurred club crest; Guess the Club hides the crest entirely and gives you the squad instead — you reason from the players, not the logo.

How is it different from Career Path?

Career Path shows one player’s club history and asks you to name the player. Guess the Club flips it: many players, one shared club, name the club.

How many clubs are in the pool?

67 clubs are eligible — each has a crest and at least six players in our 773-player database, so there are always enough clues to reveal.

Is everyone shown the same club daily?

Yes. A seeded generator gives every player the same mystery club on a given date.

Is there an archive?

Yes. Past daily clubs are replayable from the archive as standalone solves that don’t affect your streak.

Can I play Guess the Club on mobile?

Yes. It is a responsive web game — no download — that works on phones, tablets and desktops.

Is Guess the Club free?

Yes. No signup, no paywall, no ads inside the game flow.
