What is La Liga Football 11?
La Liga Football 11 is a daily browser game where you build a starting XI from 11 different nations, with one extra rule: every player must have appeared for a club in the La Liga. A new puzzle generates at local midnight and is identical for everyone that day.
Heads-up: The tightest league edition we run: 27 eligible nations against the Premier League’s 43, so the same eleven countries come round more often.
Why La Liga lineups are harder
La Liga is the most concentrated of the league editions — 243 players but only 27 nations clear the two-player bar, and Spain alone accounts for 61 of them. Goalkeeper is brutal here: 78 forwards to 9 keepers, nearly 9 to 1, which is why a 5-at-the-back shape can be impossible on a given day.

Frequently asked questions
What is La Liga Football 11?
+
La Liga Football 11 is a daily browser game where you build a starting XI from 11 different nations, with one extra rule: every player must have appeared for a club in the La Liga. A new puzzle generates at local midnight and is identical for everyone that day.
Is La Liga Football 11 free to play?
+
Yes — no signup, no paywall, no ads inside the game flow. Streaks and stats live in your browser only.
How large is the La Liga player pool?
+
243 players in our database have appeared in the La Liga. Of those, 27 nations clear the two-player minimum needed to be drawn as one of the day's eleven, led by Spain with 61.
Why a league edition instead of another tournament edition?
+
Because the geography runs out. The daily board needs 11 different countries, so a pool has to be far larger than 11 to stay fresh. In our database CONMEBOL has 7 eligible nations, all of Africa has 11, Asia has 3 — a Copa América or AFCON edition would serve the same lineup every single day. A league mixes nationalities by definition: La Liga is the most concentrated of the three: Spain alone supplies a quarter of the pool, so the same nations come round more often.
Does a player count if they only played there briefly?
+
Yes. Any recorded spell at a La Liga club qualifies them, whether it was one season or a whole career. The edition asks whether they played in this league, not whether they play there now.
Does the puzzle reset every day?
+
Yes, at local midnight. A seeded generator picks the same 11 countries for every player worldwide on a given date, so results are directly comparable.
Why are some formations greyed out?
+
The validator checks whether today's 11 countries can legally fill each shape using only La Liga players. Greyed means no valid arrangement exists for that formation today.
Which position is hardest to fill?
+
Goalkeeper, and it is not close. The La Liga pool holds 78 forwards against 9 goalkeepers, nearly 9 to 1, so shapes that demand keeper depth run out of eligible nations first.
Can I play past days?
+
Practice Mode re-seeds an unlimited board instantly. A dated archive is on the roadmap for this edition; several sister games already have one.
How is this different from the Open Edition?
+
Open draws from all 64 eligible nations with no league constraint. This edition keeps the 11-nations rule and adds the La Liga filter on top, which narrows who you can pick and rewards knowing one league deeply.
Build streaks across all 27 games
Playing the La Liga Edition counts toward PlayFutbol's cross-game achievement badges — Polyglot (play all 27 games), Perfect Day (finish all 12 in one day) and Early Bird (finish before local noon). The knowledge compounds too: a transfer fact you learn here pays off the next day in Futbol Grid, Missing XI, and Career Path.
