What is Euro Football 11?

Euro Football 11 is a daily browser game where you build a starting XI by picking one player from each of 11 UEFA nations. A new puzzle generates at local midnight; the same 11 countries appear for every player worldwide on a given date.

Heads-up: futbol-11.com officially discontinued their /futbol11-euro2024 page on 2026-05-21 — year-locked URLs lose all traffic once a tournament ends. PlayFutbol uses a permanent /euro path that updates with each UEFA cycle.

Why Euro lineups are harder

Restricting the pool to UEFA nations removes the easy outs. There are no South American superstars to fall back on — every slot has to come from one of 37 European nations. Goalkeeper is the squeeze point: across the 542 Euro-eligible players, forwards outnumber goalkeepers nearly 5 to 1, so a formation needing keeper depth gets tight fast.

How to play in 4 steps

  1. 1

    Pick a formation

Choose from 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 3-4-3, or 5-3-2. Formations that can't be filled with today's 11 UEFA nations are greyed out.

  2. 2

    Tap a position slot

Each slot is tied to one country from the day's eleven. The country shows at the top of the search box.

  3. 3

    Search a player

Results are filtered to UEFA-eligible players from our 773-player database at the slot's position.

  4. 4

    Fill all 11 slots

Complete every slot with one unique country. Share the emoji-grid result when you finish.

Frequently asked questions

What is Euro Football 11?

+

Euro Football 11 is a daily browser game where you build a starting XI by picking one player from each of 11 UEFA nations. A new puzzle generates at local midnight; the same 11 countries appear for every player worldwide on a given date.

Is Euro Football 11 free to play?

+

Yes — no signup, no paywall, no ads inside the game flow. Streaks and stats live in your browser only.

Which UEFA nations are in the player pool?

+

The pool covers 37 UEFA nations with ≥2 players in PlayFutbol's database, including all 24 Euro 2024 participants plus historical Euro squads (Sweden, Norway, Greece, etc.). Nations with fewer than 2 players are automatically skipped.

How is this different from futbol-11.com's Euro 2024 page?

+

Futbol-11.com discontinued their Euro 2024 mode on May 21, 2026. PlayFutbol uses a permanent /euro URL that updates with each new UEFA tournament cycle, so links never go stale.

Does the puzzle reset every day?

+

Yes, at local midnight. A seeded generator picks the same 11 UEFA countries for every player worldwide on a given date, so results are directly comparable.

Can I replay past Euro XIs?

+

Practice Mode lets you re-seed unlimited boards immediately. Dated daily archive is on the roadmap for Euro Edition (currently available on 6 sister games).

Why are some formations greyed out?

+

The validator checks whether the day's 11 UEFA countries can legally fill each formation. Greyed = not solvable given today's country pool.

Which formation is easiest in Euro Edition?

+

4-3-3 — the Euro pool is forward-heavy. Across our 542 Euro-eligible players, forwards outnumber goalkeepers by nearly 5 to 1 (174 forwards vs 35 goalkeepers).

Where does the player data come from?

+

Transfermarkt, Wikipedia, UEFA.com squad lists, and official club pages. Manually audited by the PlayFutbol Data Team. We do not use AI-generated biographies.

Does Euro Edition affect my main Futbol 11 streak?

+

Playing any Futbol 11 variant counts toward the cross-game Polyglot and Perfect Day badges. Per-variant streak isolation is on the roadmap.

Can I share my result without spoilers?

+

Yes — the share button copies an emoji grid (🟩🟨⬜) plus your formation and the date. No player names are included, so it is safe to drop into group chats.

What is the difference between Euro Edition and Missing XI?

+

Euro Edition is build-a-lineup (you pick 11 from 11 different UEFA nations). Missing XI is find-the-missing-player from a hidden classic-final lineup.

Build streaks across all 12 games

Playing the Euro Edition counts toward PlayFutbol's cross-game achievement badges — Polyglot (play all 12 games), Perfect Day (finish all 12 in one day) and Early Bird (finish before local noon). The knowledge compounds too: a transfer fact you learn here pays off the next day in Futbol Grid, Missing XI, and Career Path.
